Buffalo Tom - Birdbrain (John Peel Session 1990 recorded onto tape from Radio 1)

Buffalo Tom - Birdbrain (John Peel Session 1990 recorded onto tape from Radio 1) by eithe0r. Uploaded with SoundCloud iPhone

Recorded back in 1990 when the session was first broadcast - onto tape on a very old, dodgy stereo. Transferred the track just by playing the cassette through a very old, dodgy sony cassette recorder and recording on iPod device (very old school meets new). Hope the band don't mind, but I'm just putting this up for Keeping it Peel day. Enjoy.

Y Niwl

Saw Y Niwl again last night in Reading supporting (and playing) with Gruff Rhys - they were great. Here's one of my favs ('Chwech' - or Six in English): Also another great tune & vid named 'Undegpedwar', which, if I'm not wrong, is fourteen ... See them live and buy stuff.... http://yniwl.com/

The Middle East - Jesus Came To My Birthday Party

I love the harmonies on this track, and also the strangled, compressed guitar sound that they captured - such a broken, defeated sound.

Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds - Your Funeral, My Trial

OK - the user removed the drawings video from below, shame, I really liked it. Oh well, in here is a rare video of Nick doing 'Mack the Knife' from a 90's documentary instead.... will keep the below link, in case it turns up again... Love this fan made video to the song - Nick Cave's drawings feature...

Robyn Hitchcock & Howe Gelbe

Tram Watch #3 - Wonderfully out of synch sound, but it doesn't really matter with RH!
